| 1/3 cup | Oleo or margarine | ||
| 1 tsp | vanilla | ||
| 1/2 cup | Nuts if desired | ||

Mix together the sugar and corn syrup. cook for 10 minutes. Add 1 | |||
cup warm slowly so as not to stop the boiling - 5 minutes longer. | |||
Slowly add the oleo (margarine) 1 tsp at a time. Cook until 240 | |||
degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp | |||
of vanilla and nuts if desired. Allow to cool and set, cut and | |||
