Hungarian Stew with Noodles

From Jankowski Family Recipe Box 

Ingredients 

1/2 CupSalad Oil1 TbspPaprika
1 mediumGarlic Clove2 tspSalt
4 mediumOnions Sliced1 tspPepper
3 6 oz canTomato Paste1Bay Leaf
2 1/2 CupsWater2 8 oz pkgBow Tie Macaroni
5 lbsBeef Stew Meat1 TbspOleo

Directions

In a dutch oven over medium heat put salad oil and cook garlic, 1 minute and discard.  Add stew meat and onion.  Cook stirring occasionally until meat is lightly brown.  Stir in tomato past, water, paprika, salt, pepper and bay leaf, heat to boiling.  Reduce heat to low cover.  Simmer 2 hours or more until meat is fork tender.  Stirring often.  Cook macaroni, drain and toss with oleo.
