Devil's Food Cake

From Jankowski Family Recipe Box 

Ingredients 

2 Cups	Flour		1 1/2 Cup	Sugar
1 tsp	Baking Soda		2	Eggs
1 tsp	Salt		1 Cup	Milk
1/2 Cup	Cocoa		1 tsp	Vanilla
2/3 Cup	Shortening

Directions 

Bake at 350 degrees in a greased cake pan.  Grease pan and set aside.  Mix flour, salt, cocoa and baking soda.  Then cream into a separate bowl, shortening, sugar, eggs.  Add to dry ingredients, then add the milk and vanilla.  Mix well and pour into greased pan.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
