Biscuit Beef Rolls

From Jankowski Family Recipe Box 

Biscuit Dough 

Ingredients 

1 1/2 CupFlour3 TbspShortening
3 tspBaking Powder1/4 CupWater
1/2 tspSalt1/4 CupMilk

Directions 

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.  Cut in shortening.  Add water and milk.  Stir until just mix.  Roll our dough 1/4 inch thick.  

Meat Filling 

Ingredients 

1/4 CupChopped Onion1 TbspOleo
1/4 CupChopped celeryTo TasteSalt and Pepper
1 PoundHamburger2Eggs
1 mediumTomato choped

Directions 

Fry onion in oleo until soft, b ut not brown.  Add hamburger, celery, tomato, 1 egg and season to taste.  Spread the filling over the dough and roll up as for a jelly roll.  Brush with beaten egg.  Bake on cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 425 degrees.  

Optional can add mushroom, green peppers or garlic for more flavor.
