Coconut Nests

Ingredients				From:
2 Cups	Sugar			Jankowski
2 Tbsp	Light Corn Syrup			Family Recipes
1 Cup	Half and Half
Dash	Of Salt
3 Cups	Flaked Coconut
1 tsp	Vanilla
Directions
In medium pan combine sugar, corn syrup, cream and salt. Bring to boil over
medium heat. Cook without stirring to 234 degrees on candy thermometer or until
a small amount of mixture dropped into cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from
heat and let stand until luke warm 110 degrees, add vanilla and coconut. Divide
Candy if you want to make several different colors. Add food coloring and work into
candy until evenly covered, drop by heaping Tablespoons onto wax paper, shape into
nests. Should make about 14 nests.
